Multipurpose Gymnasium Addition
Mount Airy Bible Church currently sets up chairs in the school’s Physical Education gymnasium for worship. They currently run two worship services, and are preparing to add a third. Additional worship space is needed.
Mount Airy Christian Academy has maximized their on-campus student capacity, and has a waiting list. Additionally, the current PE gymnasium is inadequate for competition use. High School competition currently takes place at an off-campus rented facility.
Expansion of building systems capacity, classroom space, church and school offices, and several other program needs are necessary.
Andrew’s design team has come up with an innovative solution to provide a competition-level high school gymnasium that transforms into a tiered-seating worship venue. The rest of the site is maximized to increase student capacity and meet other program needs.
